Establish whether you are paying for use or ownership

Before comparing personal lease payments, ask who owns the vehicle at the end. An operating lease provides use for an agreed period; ownership does not follow simply because you have made monthly payments. Any purchase option needs its own written terms.

ASG Leasing's FAQs describe operating leasing for individuals as well as businesses, with the vehicle returned at the end. The provider says application documents typically include identification and financial information. This is evidence of its offering, not a promise of approval for every resident or newcomer.

Get eligibility checked before choosing a vehicle

Tell the provider your residency position, intended use, licence details in general terms and preferred term. Ask what evidence it needs, how it assesses applications and whether a guarantor or additional deposit is required. Send sensitive documents only through the provider's confirmed secure process after deciding to apply.

Do not assume that business leasing prices apply to private customers. Ask whether the quoted amount includes VAT and mandatory charges. If a product advertises a price from a particular amount, obtain a quote for the actual car, duration and mileage.

Compare a complete schedule of payments

List the initial deposit, first rent, any setup fee, recurring payments and potential end charges. Mark which sums are refundable and exactly when. ASG FlexiLease and Petsas Leasing illustrate different product descriptions; the individual agreement should resolve term, services and exit conditions.

For mileage, check the period used, excess-kilometre rate and recalculation on early return. For maintenance, identify the service network and approval process. For insurance, obtain the excess and exclusions. Ask whether tyre replacement, roadworthiness tests, road tax and a replacement vehicle are included in the selected product.

Read the return conditions before collection

Ask for the fair-wear standard and the procedure for agreeing damage at the end. Photograph the vehicle when received and record existing marks. Keep service appointments and report defects promptly under the agreement.

Ask how an unexpected relocation, job change or longer absence affects the lease. A provider may offer a solution, but you should not budget on a discretionary exception. Obtain a written early-termination calculation for a realistic departure date.

Prepare your enquiry

State the preferred town, start date, term, passengers, luggage, transmission and expected kilometres. An approximate monthly budget is useful but optional, as is a phone number. Use your name and email so an editorial response can be addressed correctly. Do not include identity documents, income statements or payment-card details in this site's form.

Enquiries go to the Cyprus Auto Guide editorial team. They are requests for information, not bookings or submissions to a provider network.

A reply, if provided, will be by email. It is not an approval decision, confirmed price or booking. Marketing updates are an optional separate choice. If the form is unavailable, use the directory to contact a provider directly.

Compare the alternatives in leasing versus subscription and rental. For a shorter or uncertain stay, read long-term rental; for buying or importing, use the relocation guide.
