Establish whether the model is actually guaranteed
A premium badge in a search result does not establish a particular car's availability. Many rental offers sell a vehicle class with “or similar” wording. If the exact model matters for an event, passenger requirement or driving preference, obtain an express written model guarantee and the substitution or cancellation terms.
This page is a comparison guide. It is not a live fleet, a vehicle sales catalogue or a promise that a named model can be supplied on your dates.
Compare more than the daily price
Ask for a complete quotation for the actual driver, dates, pickup location and vehicle class. Premium groups may have different age, licence-tenure and card rules. Hertz Cyprus's published terms, for example, vary the guarantee deposit by group. Those amounts do not establish another supplier's policy.
Before paying, record:
- Rental total and whether taxes and required charges are included.
- Deposit, accepted card type and any multiple-card requirement.
- Damage excess, theft conditions and excluded parts or uses.
- Included kilometres and the charge for exceeding them.
- Delivery, collection, out-of-hours and cancellation conditions.
- The written model or class commitment.
The deposit guide and protection guide explain why the deposit and potential damage liability are different amounts.
Match the vehicle to the journey
Check usable luggage space, passenger access and child-seat compatibility rather than choosing only by appearance. Ask about ground clearance, parking access and the supplier's permitted-road rules. Do not assume a sports car is authorised for track use, off-road driving or any activity outside an ordinary road rental.
If your itinerary includes the northern part, apply the Green Line permission and insurance checks. A higher rental price does not imply broader territorial cover or recovery.
Inspect and document the handover
Review the condition report with the supplier before leaving. Record visible wheel, glass, body and interior condition, along with fuel or charge level and odometer. Ask how to report a problem discovered immediately after departure and how the return inspection will work.
Confirm the assistance number and authorisation process for towing or repairs. Do not commission modifications or repairs to a rental without the supplier's required approval. Keep the return record and query unexplained charges with supporting evidence.
Buying a premium or performance car
Budget for model-appropriate inspection, tyres, servicing, parts and insurance. Ask a suitably experienced workshop about repair history, modifications and outstanding recalls. A general diagnostic scan does not replace specialist investigation of a concern.
For an imported model, check local parts and warranty support and registration eligibility before paying. Commission an independent inspection and obtain an insurance quotation for the actual vehicle and drivers. We do not publish a universal maintenance allowance or predict resale values.
Comparing offers
A comparison website such as DiscoverCars shows the rental classes on offer; then read the selected supplier's conditions. Cyprus Auto Guide has no affiliate relationship with any of them. Availability and price must be confirmed in the offer itself.
